Why one model and not four
Because two relationship models is the defect this product is most likely to grow. With four grains and one model, a path means the same thing everywhere and folding is written once. With four models, the same button does four subtly different things and nothing tells you which one you pressed.
What "folded" means
A graph past a few thousand nodes cannot be drawn usefully, so the least-connected nodes are rolled up into one node per group. The picture says it folded and how many each rolled-up node stands for. A tool that folds silently is showing you a smaller graph and letting you believe it is the whole one.
An empty result is not "unrelated"
It means no path was recorded within the bounds you set. A dataset asserts what somebody put in it, and the gap between that and the world is exactly the thing this site tries never to paper over.
Why some relationships are missing
A grain maps its own relationship types onto nine shared kinds. A type with no mapping is dropped and counted rather than turned into "related to" — because "we have not decided how to express this" and "these things are related" are different statements, and only one of them is true.
Questions
Is this the same as the atlas CLI?
No. The command-line atlas answers "does this already exist" inside the codebase. This is the public graph, and they share packages rather than purpose.
Can I index a private repository?
Yes, with the Atlas plan. It is stored against your account, quota’d by size, deletable at any time, and never written into a public build.
